Software from first principles

We use first principles thinking in game design and engineering to create compelling gameplay, explore new ideas across genres, and build the technology those ideas actually require.

01 / Mission

Polish is not the same as play.

A game can look incredible, sound expensive, and check every feature box while still giving the player very little reason to keep playing. We focus on what matters most, compelling gameplay. We design and optimize the user's experience from first principles and build systems, technology, art, and products around that. There is nothing worst than a beautiful game, that is not interesting to play, with constant frame drops. Our goal is to ship new and interesting highly performant games with pristine user experience at all levels.

001

Gameplay is the foundation.

Games are an interactive medium, so interactions and decisions, are fundementally what makes games worth playing. We understand this at it's core before adding layers of production.

010

Question the genre defaults.

We use familiar genres as starting points, not boundaries. We challenge conventions and search for mechanics that create new and interesting experiences.

011

Engineer ideas into products.

Technology is part of the design. We build the systems the game actually needs in a way that ensures robust performance and high quality experiences.

10 / Portfolio

Fresh takes on genres you love.

Our current focus is gaming. We want to explore a variety of game genres rather than repeat one formula — using first principles design and engineering to introduce mechanics, systems, and interactions that feel fresh. You can find our porjects below.
